Portsmouth Technopole member Transalis, a UK business automation specialist that underpins billions of pounds worth of global trade, have recently achieved the ISO 27001 a coveted accreditation in world-class management standards.

Infrastructure Manager Ioannis Chrysanthou and Sales and Marketing Director Marc Stares with the Transalis team at their Portsmouth headquarters.

Transalis has gained formal international certification ISO 27001 for its data security, providing further reassurance for clients including retailers, manufacturers, logistics firms, healthcare providers and government bodies.

The standard, ISO 27001, recognises Transalis’ systematic approach to ensuring customers have a reliable, secure platform for automating transactions, so minimising the need for costly manual and paper-based processes and associated errors.

Infrastructure Manager Ioannis Chrysanthou, who is responsible for Transalis’ information security management and led the bid for ISO accreditation, said:

“ISO is a fantastic feather in our cap. It demonstrates our expanding services capability and gives our client base even more peace of mind. It positions us among those select few providers who can cite ISO in procurement exercises and contracts with larger business and government clients.”

The accreditation follows a rigorous independent assessment in which Ioannis and colleagues had to demonstrate a coherent and comprehensive suite of data security and risk management controls.

The three-year certificate involves an ongoing audit programme designed to demonstrate the continuing pursuit of excellence.

Transalis currently facilitates the exchange of millions of documents a year, underpinning billions of pounds’ worth of stock orders and invoices across 32 countries.

Marc Stares, Sales and Marketing Director, said:

“With our ISO accreditation, we have further independent endorsement of how our data security policies are setting us apart from our competitors. It is a significant step forward for us and proof of our best-in-breed capability for clients and partners seeking a secure platform that offers scalability, quality control, resilience, performance and confidence.”

Capture Connect, Secure

The ISO success comes after Portsmouth Technopole member Transalis showcased its ‘capture, connect, secure’ approach to data management in the retail sector at the Gartner Supply Chain Executive Conference 2019. Drink up! Why hydration is key to being productive!

It’s one thing we should all probably do more of – drink water! It can be so easy to go through the day drinking tea and coffee and neglecting to hydrate our bodies properly with water. We rely on the caffeine to keep us alert and performing throughout the day but what a lot of people don’t realise is the part that good old water can play in keeping you focused!
